Episode 11: Pohuai (...Again) and Taku (...Again)

The companions prepare for fights on two fronts: raiding Pohuai Depot to the south for supplies, and returning to Taku to raise the flags of resistance and get more people to safety from Commander Bozan and Captain Okuru's siege.

Toji interrogates the Fire Nation soldiers held at Shimoni Dhato, who warn him that Pohuai is a strategic landing point for the Fire Nation and won't be easily taken. Toji acknowledges this, but tries to explain how he's seen the Fire Nation become a dim ember of its once glorious fires, and he manages to convince the soldiers to think about their place in the Fire Nation war machine. He lets them out under guard and with the intent they could help the camp.

Shizaku, hot off the success of the Screaming Mongoose Lizard, begins thinking of a new device to help the camp: a sticky trap called the honey cannon!

Toji, starting to roll up his sleeves, compliments Moshi's work with Yina in relaxing the spirit of the dragon Horu. Moshi is thankful and quiets Toji's concern of Moshi's dedication to the fight. While trying to recruit Tokala for the trip to Pohuai, Toji is warned by the waterbender that he's worried of the Fire Nation's growing aggression and is concerned about the Water Tribes - Tokala will help the camp until he feels he needs to return to defend his own people.

The group sets out to Pohuai, making a daring attack in the evening. Using the landspeerder, they crash through the main gates and immediately set out for their objectives: obtaining at least one more messenger hawk (while debilitating the ones for the Fire Nation), and securing more supplies for the resistance. Tokala and Moshi fend off soldiers and grab birds (in spite of some dad slash-bangs from Shizaku), while Toji and Jang Tae procure goods. While waiting in the getaway "car," Shizaku pulls a Samson and wheels through oncoming Fire Nation troops. The gang has a daring escape back to Shimoni Dhato.

At camp, Moshi comes at Shizaku for his poor flash crystals. Shizaku is saddened they didn't work. He's comforted by Toji, who's glad "car no go boom." Moshi thanks Toji later for how he handles the peculiar engineer, and Toji solidifies his goal of helping eliminate the jingoistic threat of Azulon's forces. Toji sends out a request for a hawkmaster.

In Taku, Layi sways Dharma to accept he matters as part of the group and steel himself. Kheerati, however, questions Layi's loyalty to Taku or this fledgling camp, and Dharma uses his charm to convince the shang and her Major Harano that they will return to protect Taku and its people as soon as they can further cement their warriors and situation. The growing threat of Okuru, and now Shan moving eastward, demands they all work together rather than squabble.

Layi goes into Taku to enlist the help of Faohu the engineer and citizens to rise up against the Fire Nation. She tries to provoke their emotions by showing that the Fire Nation isn't just a threat to Taku, but the Four Nations and they need to work together. She also looks for Chuko, who, in spite of trying to help the Fire Nation, doesn't want to lose her home.Layi explains that by joining the camp Chuko could help make a difference, but her former friend is still too far removed to seriously consider that.

Dharma, with the aide of one of Harano's soldiers, attempts to tickle the underbelly of the city and inspire other rebels. While discussing this in the market, Dharma overhears the soldier discussing the known airbender with someone... Dharma turns and sees the soldier talking to the esteemed scroll-artist, Etisha....
